Pseudo-Secularist Arundhati Roy in her latest article in The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/dec/12/mumbai-arundhati-roy), tried very hard to accommodate the perpetrators of Mumbai carnage and paint them as victims who are actually the manifestation of India’s injustice and atrocities against its Muslims in Gujarat and Kashmir. So as expected she blamed India and all its policies along with the Police, Army, Media and religious Hindu-right groups. At one point she equated Hafiz Saeed, who founded the Lashkar-e-Taiba with a unknown Babu Bajrangi of Ahmedabad, India, who was involved in the 2002 Gujarat riots and further RSS as dangerous as Lashkar-e-Taiba. For her, every action taken by India against these terrorist be it punishing the attacker of Parliament or more recently the Batla House incident were nothing more then cases of atrocities against the community. The article gives a impression as if Ms Roy is ashamed of being a Indian and more so being a Hindu.She ended her article with a note JUSTICE OR CIVIL WAR, as if a making a war cry and calling on the Muslims across to raise a civil war against the state of India.

How should those of us whose hearts have been sickened by the knowledge of all of this view the Mumbai attacks, and what are we to do about them? There are those who point out that US strategy has been successful inasmuch as the United States has not suffered a major attack on its home ground since 9/11. However, some would say that what America is suffering now is far worse. If the idea behind the 9/11 terror attacks was to goad America into showing its true colors, what greater success could the terrorists have asked for? The US army is bogged down in two unwinnable wars, which have made the United States the most hated country in the world. (Could it be that battered, bombed Afghanistan, the graveyard of the Soviet Union, will be the undoing of this one too?) If at this point India decides to go to war perhaps the descent of the whole region into chaos will be complete. The debris of a bankrupt, destroyed Pakistan will wash up on India's shores, endangering us as never before. If Pakistan collapses, we can look forward to having millions of "non-state actors" with an arsenal of nuclear weapons at their disposal as neighbours. It's hard to understand why those who steer India's ship are so keen to replicate Pakistan's mistakes and call damnation upon this country by inviting the United States to further meddle clumsily and dangerously in our extremely complicated affairs. And both, (though they are great thinkers and writers)have left India long back for their own ‘Life Plan’ and interest (They are entitled to their views, let’s accommodate).
Its not about who has left India(Rusdie),its about people(Roy etc.) who are born and brought up in this motherland but are acting as agents of our neighbors.
India has never been a war monger and has acted with great restraint under grave provocation, had not that been the case Pakistan would have been annihilated by now.But time has come to stop taking things lying down and start acting.Further its not India but Pakistan who are beating the drums of war with a mass mobilization of army across the border.
What happened in Mumbai is not because of Kashmir or Gujarat,because Indian Muslim doesn`t need saviors from Pakistan to fight for there rights.Further the reference of Kashmir by Rusdie was entirely different from what Roy has said.
Arundhati`s outburst could be understood if we look at her state of birth(Kerela)which has been a bastion of leftest politics,her hatred for US is because of her political leaning and pseudo-secularist outlook.
Its is now in vogue today to raise question against everything where there shouldn`t be any.How many times you have seen these so called secularist raising a voice against the atrocities done against Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh,where there number has reduced over the years.
People who are talking that the Mumbai attack were because of India`s policies in Kashmir or against Muslims were given a befitting reply by the people of Kashmir who have come out in record numbers to participate in the election process and express there faith in India`s democracy,further the kind of anger exhibited by our Muslims brothers against the Mumbai terrorist are a slap on the face of people like these.
The problem is,if we don`t stand for anything,then we fall for everything...
A ‘Wrong’ deed is a ‘Wrong’ deed and will always remain a ‘Wrong’ deed, irrespective of the Door (of any Cast, Creed, Class, Nation, Politician, Terrorist, or any Criminal, whoever).
Any rational thinking person will agree to that, and if we agree to this then:
-All terrorists’ strikes/killings are wrong- bullets & bombs never recognize the religion.
-All Riots are/were wrong – including Gujarat genocide 2002, Mumbai, Delhi 1984-more than 3000 innocent Sikhs killed.
-Today’s killing of over 200 innocent Muslims in Gaza strip pounding by Israel is wrong.
- The U.S and Israeli armies don't hesitate to send cruise missiles into buildings and drop daisy cutters on wedding parties in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan.) What is that?
-Killing of scores of innocents in Afghanistan and Iraq- what was that? - wrong.
- Partition (1947) triggered the massacre of more than a million innocent people on both sides – hope we agree that these killings were also wrong.
- What we did in Bangladesh 1971, Srilanka – LTTE (Lankan terrorists trained by our Army in camps in India). What was that?
-Kashmir- more than 60,000 innocent lives lost. Of course wrong.
- Recently in Kandhamal in Orissa, Christians were the target of two and a half months of violence which left more than 40 dead. Forty thousand people have been driven from their homes, half of who now live in refugee camps.) Of course wrong.
Actually this is a vicious cycle- A kills B and B’s kin's kills A than they are the targets of A’s kin's, where and how to break this chain reaction.

Who bears the cost- widows of the warriors, poor taxpayer?
And the purpose of the evil makers the ‘Devils’ of this world is served. Let’s not become puppets in their hands.

LTTE was never trained by Indian Army,on the contrary it fought against it, as a result we lost one of our beloved PM Rajiv Gandhi.
In Bangladesh political and linguistic discrimination as well as economic neglect led to popular agitations against West Pakistan, which led to the war for independence in 1971 and the establishment of Bangladesh, with the help of India.So it was a rising of the Bangla people against an oppressive ruler, Pakistan.

a) Appreciate if you can identify your good self.
b) I am not very sure about ‘facts’ of 1971 Bangladesh situation(there are several schools of thoughts) and ‘LTTE’ origin and training aspects, that’s why I have left a question mark in my comment on these points and not concluded. I am just quoting the article in discussion when I comment about LTTE.
c) Loss of valuable life of Mr.Rajiv Gandhi, a charismatic and visionary leader was a great ‘National Loss’ again attributed to same ‘non-sense’ violence.
d) Still, wrong is wrong, irrespective of the doer. How can any one justify violence?
e) Good to learn that we have no difference of opinion on other points, which I have mentioned in my comment. Do you still believe we have some?
