Wake-up

Another heinous attack on humanity and close to 200 lives are lost. A two year old "Mosse" became orphan on his birthday, many sisters lost there brothers and mother lost her young and brave son (Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, martyred while engaging terrorists). But for all of us, it was just another incident.
So what if our forces lost 20 of there best man and scores of innocent civilian were massacred. For our politicians human life has no value infront of vote bank politics. When our brave heroes were sacrificing there lives to protect us, these politicians were busy scoring brownie points over each other so as to win the next elections. That's why our esteemed leader of the opposition in parliament was so busy campaigning that he couldn't`t spare a hour or so for a all party meeting called by the PM to discuss terrorism.Seriousness of there intentions were clear when deputy CM of the affected state said"bade shahron mein aise ek adh hadse hote rahte hain. Woh 5,000 logon ko marne aye the lekin humne kitna kum nuksan hone diya".
Further the apathy of our leaders were evident when Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh accompanied hot-shot film maker Ram Gopal Varma and his actor son to the site of terror, so that this filmmaker could get a superhit story for his next film.
Our government has completely bent there knees infront of these terrorist, they are so henpecked that they cannot take a minnow state like Bangladesh forget Pakistan, who are supporting these merchants of terror.
Time has come for us to wake from this slumber and take things in our own hand, time has come to change this crippling political system. Time has come to make these governments and political parties accountable to the public

Avishek’s post dated 30th November and also what Abhishek posted today with same title 'Wake-up'; also what we all saw on 'Live TV' and read in 'Print Media' during last few days is very painful and sad series of incidents. This is worst ever terrorist attack on our Motherland. Undoubtedly, a heinous crime committed on humanity, killing scores of unsuspecting innocent fellow citizens including several brave soldiers of India. This invokes several extreme emotions. These are ‘mixed-emotions’ but mostly negative ones like grief, fear, hatred, shame, blame, regret, resentment, bitterness, anger, hostility etc.

These extreme feelings and negative emotions also bring in mind several un-answered questions like:
• Who is the real culprit?
• Who gains and what with these actions?
• Whom to blame? Terrorists? Police? Politicians? Intelligence? Neighboring countries? Religious fanaticism?
• What a common citizen can do?
• What establishment/government can do?
• What others can do?
• What we can do?
• What I can do?

I believe, all these negative emotions and energies can be constructively channelized into some sort of a collective ‘Positive Force’, if we all think rationally for the solutions to above mentioned questions.

On the note of looking for some ‘Positives’ in this entire ugly tragedy, I see solidarity, empathy, resilience, supreme sacrifice and selflessness of our forces, dutiful hotel employees, dutiful firemen, helping volunteers, unified common men, mature media (by and large) etc. This is enough to build on a strong Positive Force which I have mentioned earlier.

I want this comment to close here for now but it remains an open ended comment with an urge to find a lasting solution. Please contribute…..
May God bless our Country and All !!!

Regards,
Isb :-)

Poem written by Prasoon Joshi post Mumbai Terror Attack

Is baar nahin
Is baar jab woh choti si bachchi mere paas apni kharonch le kar aayegi
Main usey phoo phoo kar nahin behlaoonga
Panapney doonga uski tees ko
Is baar nahin
Is baar jab main chehron par dard likha dekhoonga
Nahin gaoonga geet peeda bhula dene wale
Dard ko risney doonga, utarney doonga andar gehrey
Is baar nahin
Is baar main na marham lagaoonga
Na hi uthaoonga rui ke phahey
Aur na hi kahoonga ki tum aankein band karlo, gardan udhar kar lo main dawa lagata hoon
Dekhney doonga sabko hum sabko khuley nangey ghaav
Is baar nahin
Is baar jab uljhaney dekhoonga, chatpatahat dekhoonga
Nahin daudoonga uljhee door lapetney
Uljhaney doonga jab tak ulajh sake
Is baar nahin
Is baar karm ka hawala de kar nahin uthaoonga auzaar
Nahin karoonga phir se ek nayee shuruaat
Nahin banoonga misaal ek karmyogi ki
Nahin aaney doonga zindagi ko aasani se patri par
Utarney doonga usey keechad main, tedhey medhey raston pe
Nahin sookhney doonga deewaron par laga khoon
Halka nahin padney doonga uska rang
Is baar nahin banney doonga usey itna laachaar
Ki paan ki peek aur khoon ka fark hi khatm ho jaye
Is baar nahin
Is baar ghawon ko dekhna hai
Gaur se
Thoda lambe wakt tak
Kuch faisley
Aur uskey baad hausley
Kahin toh shuruat karni hi hogi
Is baar yahi tay kiya hai
