We are celebrating the 40th year of Internet,but Internet's beginnings on September 2, 1969 at the ARPANet was quite humble.
When Len Kleinrock and his team at UCLA began tests 40 years ago on what would become the Internet. Neither was social networking(Orkut,Facebook etc), videos on the Internet(Youtube), nor were most of the other easy-to-use applications that have drawn more than a billion people online, was their in there mind.
Back in 1965, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore made a prediction, popularly known as Moore's Law, which states that the microprocessor power will grow at an exponential rate, doubling every 18month,(speed of computing power will double every 18month). And Intel has kept that pace for nearly 40 years with its Processors (Processing power, measured in millions of instructions per second (MIPS), has steadily risen because of increased transistor counts).
With this ever increasing processing power and the rise of other technological platform, how will Internet look like five years from now.

#Five years from now the internet will be dominated by Chinese-language content.
#Today’s teenagers are the model of how the web will work in five years - they jump from app to app seamlessly.
#Within five years distinctions between TV, radio and the web will go away.
