Maverick Rehman is on a dream run this year, After winning the Golden Globe for Slumdog Millionaire, he is at his creative best once again with Dilli 6.For me Dilli 6 is one of his finest work till date. The album is a artistic amalgamation of various music form and amazingly diverse soundtracks.Each and every song in Dehli-6 upholds the high standards Rahman has set for himself.WIth Prasoon Joshi`s smashing lyrics, the song "Masakalli" is a song which grabs you by the ear right away with the sweet accordion sounds of the keyboard and soft percussion.While “Genda Phool” is a beautifull adaptation of traditional fokesong from UP and Bihar, mixed with the techno beats of Hip-Hop.
The song "Bhor Bhayee" is an old thumri by Ustad Bade Gulam Ali Khan sabah, sung almost four decades ago based on raag Gujri Todi. The song sung by Shreya where her voice has been juxtaposed with Ustad Saahib. Its song like this which can create a interest of the new generation in Indian Classical Music.
I strongly recommend a must listen for this album.

Camerawork (Binod Pradhan, Rang De Basanti) matches the city’s dynamism and is as delightfully chaotic as its subject. Sound by Nakul Kamte is fantastic. Art Direction is marvelous.
But the 'REAL STAR' is the soul-stirring music by AR Rahman, lending the film its very essence.
Delhi 6 is like a great song you want to like anxiously. But only, it's distorted for being played decibels too loud.

Yes, this is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s autobiographical vision, but it has lost that edge of being the first one to give us a penetrating darshan of the city.
Next: a young American coming to local city, saying `awesome’ and observing from a distance, falling for the girl next door, getting embroiled in local issues despite himself was seen in Swades. It’s a cliche that most protagonists who visit their home country must inevitably follow in our movies.
